Market Research RFP Trends - Jan 2003 Update

Following the publication of our short report on Requests for Market Research Proposals (RFPs) to Orient Pacific Century last June, this chart updates the data to include the last two quarters in 2002.

We noted last year that though the trends displayed a marked increase in interest in the mainland China market that "...trends are softening for this quarter...". That indeed was the case and though China still represents 35% of all RFPs, South East Asian markets together attracted a rising number of requests bringing them into line with China alone, and East Asia as a whole.

Some notes:

1. The last two quarters saw a relative rise in RFPs for South East Asia and a commensurate reduction for China, with requests for proposals for market research in other East Asian countries remaining steady.
