Orient Pacific Century has developed market research techniques specifically for Asian industrial and consumer markets. These have been applied by our own field staff and team leaders or in agencies trained up in their use in 12 Asian countries and much of the world. These include China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Australia and New Zealand. We also retain overseas agencies, again fully trained up in our specialist techniques, in the US, Canada, UK, Italy, France and Germany to test Asian products and services in overseas markets.

Our specialisation is on focus group and qualitative research, in-depth interviewing, spot or in-situe interviews, structured observation, mystery customer surveys, consumer intercept surveys and quantitative surveys. Rather than being an agency specialising in one or the other, we use both quantitative and qualitative techniques, often in tandem, as using a variety of techniques helps in maximising reliability and validity of results.

We can guarantee the validity of our results through established policies that include double-blind coding and double blind analysis. Sample selection is always closely supervised by lead consultants for representativeness and/or qualification for target groups.

Our focus groups, (also the subject of a separate article), are led by highly experienced moderators, chosen also for their identification with the target group. Together they speak most of the major Asian languages and dialects and represent a broad range of gender, age groups, and classes.
