Finance and Operations Director

Duties and Responsibilities

As Operations Director, has overall responsibility for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the following services to the business units:

This includes:

Developing and implementing operational strategies to support the business units to achieve yearly financial goals.
Responsibility for the efficient management of the company's inventory, ensuring the availability of stocks for sales units, bearing in mind the company's working capital initiatives, maintenance of inventory at acceptable levels as required by management and liaising with country offices and publishing centers on stock budgeting and planning.
Responsibility for overall logistics operations in the company, identifying and implementing supply chain/logistics management strategies and develop operation processes to serve the needs of customers.
Meeting customer needs and expectations in the areas of quality, responsiveness, delivery and order fulfillment.
Selection and management of freight forwarders, IT vendors and service providers and contract negotiations.
Developing customer relationship and maintaining close contacts with key customers.
Oversee and manage the team for efficient operation and continual improvements to meet customer expectations and stipulated key performance indicators.
Responsibility for the overall management and definition of all major information technology operations and infrastructure of the organization, to plan, implement and maintain information and network facilities, IT solutions and strategies for the company.
Responsibility for the total management of the Finance Department.
